Sonu Sood celebrates Independence Day

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is celebrating Independence Day with Indian jawans. He shared a series of throwback photos from the set of his recent film, Fateh.

During the shooting of his film released in early 2025, Sonu visited the Attari – Wagah Border, where he met soldiers. The actor posed with the soldiers in the pictures. One photo also showed the actor proudly holding the Indian flag in his hands at the border while posing for the cameras.

Sonu Sood penned in the caption, “Happy Independence Day.” For the visit, the actor sported a black sweatshirt with ‘Fateh’ written on it. He paired it with black jeans, matching sunglasses and black and white Nike shoes.

Sonu Sood starring Fateh revolves around an ex-Special Ops officer who is asked to find a young woman. In order to locate her, he must employ all of his abilities while simultaneously attempting to learn the truth about the threats made against her. Besides portraying the lead role of Fateh Singh, Sonu has also directed and penned the script.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez as Khushi Sharma, Vijay Raaz as Satya Prakash and Naseeruddin Shah as Raza.

The film was announced in December 2021, with its title announced in October 2022. Principal photography began in March 2023 and was completed in October 2023. Fateh was theatrically released on 10 January 2025 to mixed reviews from critics

The actor’s Independence Day celebration came after his shirtless video riding a black Royal Enfield motorcycle without a helmet on the scenic yet dangerous roads of Spiti Valley went viral on social media.

The video sparked outrage online with several social media users criticising him for riding the bike without a helmet. However, he later issued a clarification and suggested that it was just a scripted shoot, not an actual motorcycle ride.
