Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra, who is well-known for his patriotic on-screen personas, has expressed his appreciation for the Indian Armed Forces once more.
The actor, who is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film Param Sundari, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday to pay tribute to the unwavering dedication of the nation’s military personnel.
In a heartfelt message, Malhotra wrote, “Even when the noise fades, their vigilance remains. The Indian Armed Forces lead with grit, grace, and unbreakable resolve. With deepest respect and gratitude, always. Jai Hind." His message has resonated widely, earning appreciation for his continued support of those who defend the nation.
The actor gained critical acclaim and a closer bond with the Indian defence community for his portrayal of the heroic Captain Vikram Batra, a hero of the Kargil War, in the critically acclaimed streaming movie Shershaah. He costarred in that movie with Kiara Advani, an actress who is his real-life wife and partner.
In light of the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a ban has been enforced prohibiting Pakistani artists from participating in the Indian entertainment sector. As part of this move, prominent Pakistani celebrities such as Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan have had their images removed from posters and music album covers across various streaming platforms.
Addressing the issue in a conversation with News18, actress Celina Jaitly, who has been largely absent from the film scene in recent years, emphasised the importance of national priorities. She stated, “India must come first. Our national interest must always be our top priority. Pakistani artists are quick to benefit from our thriving entertainment industry but remain silent about the terrorism their government supports. They’ve the platforms to demand change and condemn violence, yet they choose silence. Until there is real accountability and sincere efforts to dismantle terror networks, we must stand firm and draw clear boundaries."
