The daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, has received love and support from her close friends, including her rumoured boyfriend Karan Kothari, as she gets ready for her highly anticipated acting debut in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.

When the official trailer for the movie—which also stars Vikrant Massey in a major role—was released, it created a lot of buzz online.

Among the first to show support was Karan Kothari, who took to his Instagram stories to share the trailer of Shanaya’s debut film, along with an emotional and powerful message celebrating her journey.

“The world said, ‘Wait your turn.’ She said, ‘Watch me earn it.’ No fast-forwards. No shortcuts. Just a real life script written in sweat. Destiny winks. Opportunity and Preparation hand in hand. Now the lights are on. And the world finally sees what she saw all along,” he wrote, leaving fans touched by his heartfelt tribute.

Shanaya’s close friends, Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday, also shared their excitement. Suhana wrote, “Love love love I cannot wait it looks soo good @shanayakapoor02." Meanwhile, Ananya praised the film and the entire cast, saying, “Wooohooo! This looks so good! can’t wait to watch this love story in cinemas on 11th July! Best girl ever @shanayakapoor02 is magic. @vikrantmassey everything you do is (chef’s kiss emoji) All my love to the whole team!"

Vikrant Massey plays a blind musician in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, while Shanaya plays an ardent theatre performer. The romantic drama, which is directed by Santosh Singh and supported by Zed Studios, Mini Films, and Open Window Films, will be released in theatres on July 11.

According to reports, Karan Kothari and Shanaya have a long-standing relationship. The couple met while attending college in Los Angeles, according to a January 2023 Hindustan Times article.

Avinash Kothari, the proprietor of Kothari Fine Jewels, is the father of Mumbai-based businessman Karan. Although the two have kept their relationship mostly private, Shanaya has modelled for the family's jewellery line in the past and is frequently spotted going to events with Karan by her side.
