Shah Rukh Khan wraps up Mumbai schedule for King

Shah Rukh Khan's highly awaited action flick King, directed by Siddharth Anand, has recently wrapped shooting a schedule at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai, and now the superstar is set to embark on a lengthy tour of Europe. The crew has taken a break before beginning the next big phase of production; Mid-Day previously stated that they had been shooting in Mumbai since May 21.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his most-awaited film, King. The actor was filming Siddharth Anand's directorial action flick at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. However, SRK, along with the crew, has now wrapped up his Bandra schedule and has moved to a new location.

According to Mid-Day, Shah Rukh and the crew will soon embark on a lengthy schedule in Europe. The crew is reported to have taken a break from the filming before moving to the next phase of the production.

A source close to the production revealed, “Locations are currently being locked. The shortlisted cities include Budapest, Prague, and possibly Berlin, where sleek chase sequences will unfold. Siddharth wants these sequences to be stunning and has told his team to scout for some never-before-seen locales.”

However, the source further revealed that the forthcoming European schedule is anticipated to commence in the final week of August. “These will be quick, smaller-unit shoots aimed at filling plot gaps without requiring the full crew’s return,” added the source.

King features an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan. Abhishek is speculated to play the lead antagonist while Suhana’s character is said to be mentored by SRK. However, several previous reports have also suggested that Rani Mukerji and Deepika Padukone are also part of the film.

Touted as a spy thriller, King is speculated to feature breathtaking cinematic locations and high-octane action sequences. However, Shah Rukh is said to be involved in the film more than just starring. He is also reportedly involved in many aspects of King's post-production, including the VFX.
