Pan India actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently opened up in an interview that she experienced the 'worst possible thoughts' for a year.
Without talking about her divorce, Samantha revealed that there was a time in her life when nothing went right for her. She also spoke about her health setback and stated that she was 'too chicken' to act on her sentiments.
The actor then talked about her low point and what she learned from it.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, she described the difficult period as a 'never-ending pit'.
"I remember once I finally got to the point where I said, 'enough, I can't do this longer. I had the worst thoughts. I definitely lacked the confidence to go ahead and do it. It was hard for a year. There was nothing working, and no solutions were supplied," she said during the interview.
Samantha said how she built the strength to overcome them. "Obviously, I chickened out since acting on these views requires a lot of courage. So I was like, 'I better find a way to create some type of resilience and start thinking about other things I can accomplish with my life," she said.
The 'Kushi' actor also discussed how her struggles, rather than her accomplishments, taught her crucial lessons.
"Now, when individuals say they are going through a difficult period, I advise them to get through it. There is always a lesson to be learned and a light at the end of the tunnel. "My failures and hardships taught me more than my success," she said.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya divorced in 2021. A year later, she was diagnosed with an auto-immune illness known as Myositis.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu most recently appeared in filmmaker Raj and DK's 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', which is streaming on Prime Video. She is now working on the director duo's 'Rakht Brahmand' and a Telugu film called 'Bangaram'.
She recently made her debut as a producer with the Telugu film 'Subham', in which she did a cameo.
