Salman Khan pays tribute to Manoj Kumar

Veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away on Friday, April 4. He was 87-year-old. Several industry professionals have been pouring in their condolences since the morning.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also mourned the legendary actor's death. Salman took to his X account and penned a tribute for Manoj Kumar.

He tweeted, “Manoj Kumar Ji… a true legend. Thank you for the unforgettable films and memories…”

Ajay Devgn shared a heartfelt memory of Kumar's kindness to his family, especially his father, Veeru Devgn.

Manoj Kumar was known for his patriotic films and love for India. He was fondly called Bharat Kumar. The nation continues to pay tribute, with condolences pouring in from film personalities, politicians, and fans across the country.

Manoj Kumar, born Harikrishna Giri Goswami, was a famous actor in the 1960s and 70s. His movies were known for their strong emotions, patriotism, and messages of unity and love for the country. He was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry in 2015.

Manoj Kumar's cremation is scheduled to take place at noon tomorrow at Pawan Hans in Mumbai. Before that, the late actor's body will be kept at his residence, Goswami Towers, at 10 am for the final tribute.
