Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again found himself at the centre of a serious security scare after receiving a death threat, this time via a chilling WhatsApp message sent to the Mumbai Transport Department’s official number in Worli.
The anonymous message warned of plans to assassinate the actor by infiltrating his residence and also issued a bomb threat, claiming his car would be blown up. The incident has sparked immediate concern, prompting Mumbai Police to launch a detailed investigation into the origin of the message and the identity of the sender.
Salman has been threatened like this before. Due to several warnings purportedly connected to the network of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, which had previously threatened the actor openly over the blackbuck poaching case, he has been under increased security for the past year. After being threatened with death in the past, Salman now enjoys Y+ category security and has even obtained a special arms license.
Sources suggest that the latest threat is being taken very seriously, especially in light of the actor’s public profile and past incidents. The cyber cell is also involved in tracing the source of the WhatsApp message.
Meanwhile, security around Salman’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments, has been significantly beefed up. The actor himself has remained silent on the issue so far, but close associates confirm he is aware of the threat and is cooperating with authorities.
As investigations continue, the entertainment industry and fans have expressed concern for the actor’s safety, hoping for swift action and a resolution to these repeated security breaches.
