Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are riding on the success of Saiyaara and have achieved a major milestone in their career, which has just started. The duo have received a prestigious IMDb award that has cemented their status in the industry.

IMDb has presented IMDb ‘Breakout Star’ STARmeter Awards to Saiyaara co-stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.

The award honours standout performers featured on IMDb’s Popular Indian Celebrities list. This list tracks page views from over 250 million monthly visitors worldwide and has consistently served as a reliable indicator of stars on the verge of a major career breakthrough.

Reflecting on the recognition, Ahaan Panday said, “The IMDb ‘Breakout Star’ STARmeter Award is the first award of my acting career, and the fact that it comes directly from audiences makes it all the more special. I spent my whole childhood scouring IMDb, seeing different polls, watching the rise and fall of various movies and shows.”

The actor added, “IMDb was a portal for me to lose myself into world cinema. To be mentioned on it, to be a part of it, to be honoured by it, and to know that I’m up there somewhere, would have been something that a 12-year-old on his box computer could never have fathomed, but always dreamed of.”

He further expressed gratitude to the director and crew for giving him a chance in the romance drama. He said, “I’d like to thank Adi sir for believing in me and Mohit sir for being the best mentor I could have asked for in this journey of Saiyaara.”

Sharing the honour with his co-star Aneet, Ahaan noted that it made the accomplishment even more memorable. He added that Aneet deserved the world in addition to the award. He stated that he wanted to concentrate on his upcoming journey, his upcoming movie, and working twice as hard to give another performance which he could be proud of for the time being.

He acknowledged that he felt overwhelmed by the unwavering love he had received from everyone, saying it still astounds him to this day, and that he thought the only way to move forward was to keep working and keep his head down.

However, Aneet Padda shared similar sentiments and excitement after receiving the award. She said, “I’m delighted that Saiyaara and my performance in it has resonated with audiences worldwide, which has led to my winning the IMDb ‘Breakout Star’ STARmeter Award. Winning an accolade that is driven by audiences makes this truly a meaningful recognition.”

She further noted that she is thrilled to have entertained people with a performance that has touched the audience. She dedicated her first award to the entire cast and crew of the film for having faith in her.
