Contrary to earlier reports suggesting that Saif Ali Khan's elder son, Ibrahim, accompanied him to the hospital after the attack, it has now been clarified that a member of the actor’s domestic staff took him to Lilavati Hospital. There were no indications of Ibrahim being present during the incident or the hospital trip, as he resides in a separate building away from Saif's residence.
Additionally, Saif's younger son, Taimur, was not seen with him on the way to the hospital, as confirmed by one of the attending doctors. As per News18, a source mentioned, “Neither Ibrahim nor Taimur. House help took the actor to hospital in an auto-rickshaw".
The actor was reportedly attacked with a 2.5-inch knife by an assailant who barged into his Bandra house through his youngest son, Jeh’s room. The actor, who underwent a surgery, has now been shifted to the ICU and is said to be out of danger.
A nurse employed by Saif Ali Khan provided a detailed account to the Bandra Police about the terrifying attack on the actor's family. The intruder, a man in his late 30s, entered Saif's bedroom around 2 am, where his son Jeh was sleeping. Armed with a stick and blade, the attacker demanded Rs 1 crore. When the nurse resisted, he assaulted her, injuring her wrists and hands.
The commotion woke up the nanny, Junu, who raised an alarm. Saif and Kareena rushed to the scene, and in his attempt to defend his family, Saif was injured with cuts on his neck, shoulder, back, and wrist. Another staff member, Geeta, was also hurt while intervening.
Recent updates revealed the first image of the assailant who attacked Saif Ali Khan. The photo captured a young man wearing a T-shirt and carrying a backpack, fleeing down the stairs from the actor's Bandra residence. The Mumbai Police had earlier confirmed that the intruder gained access to the building using the fire escape stairs.
