Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who was brutally attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai residence, is recovering well and is likely to be discharged within two to three days, doctors confirmed on Saturday.
The 54-year-old actor sustained multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his neck and near his spine, during the shocking attack at his Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Saif Ali Khan, now moved out of the ICU, is recovering well. He has started walking and is on a normal diet. They expect him to be discharged within the next two to three days. "We are observing his progress, and he is doing excellently well according to our expectations. As per his progress, we have advised him bed rest, and if he is comfortable, then in two to three days we will discharge him," Dr Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, had said on Friday.

A team of doctors examined Saif Ali Khan and assisted him in walking as part of his recovery process. According to Dr. Dange, Khan sustained three injuries—two on his hand and one on the right side of his neck. The most severe wound was on his back, affecting the spine. Doctors successfully removed the sharp object lodged there and repaired the spinal injury.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified their search for the attacker, deploying over 30 teams to track him down. The assailant stabbed the actor during an attempted robbery at his 12th-floor apartment in the Satguru Sharan building.
More than two days after the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra home, Mumbai police are still searching for the elusive assailant. Despite extensive efforts, the attacker remains unidentified, with new CCTV footage suggesting deliberate attempts to mislead investigators.
