Saif Ali Khan attack: Police officials arrive at actor's residence for investigation

After the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan by an intruder, officials from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch swiftly arrived at the scene to begin their investigation.

In a troubling incident on Wednesday night, actor Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries during an altercation with an intruder at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra area. Following the incident, officials from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch promptly arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.

Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing medical treatment at Limavady Hospital in Mumbai, where his condition is being closely monitored.

As per videos shared by paparazzi, police officials were spotted visiting the residence where the incident occurred.

The incident occurred at the 'Satguru Sharan' building, where Saif Ali Khan resides. Police reports reveal that the intruder first clashed with Khan's maid. When Khan stepped in to resolve the conflict, the situation escalated, and the intruder became violent, leading to a physical altercation. During the struggle, Khan suffered injuries.

Kareena Kapoor Khan's PR team later issued a statement, confirming the incident as an attempted burglary.  The statement read, "There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khans residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern."

According to the hospital’s CEO, Saif Ali Khan was admitted around 3-3:30 am with six injuries, one of which was dangerously close to his spine. The full extent of the damage remains unclear.

Niraj Uttamani, CEO of Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif Ali Khan was brought to Lilavati (hospital) at 3-30 am. He has six injuries of which two are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine. We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will be tell extent of damage only after the surgery is done.”

Dr. Niraj Uttamani further confirmed that Saif Ali Khan's back surgery has been successfully completed by the neurosurgeon. Currently, a cosmetic surgeon is performing surgery on his wrist.
