Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, has found herself at the center of controversy following her apparent support for a post that criticized Dhanashree Verma, the wife of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, for allegedly being a “gold digger.” The incident comes amid the ongoing divorce between Chahal and Dhanashree, which was finalized on March 20, 2025. In the midst of this drama, a viral video featuring Shubhankar Mishra harshly slammed Dhanashree, and Ritika's public "like" of the post has raised eyebrows.

In the video, Shubhankar Mishra expressed his opinion on Dhanashree's behavior, stating, "Dhanashree ko apni doosri zindagi shuru karne main badi takleefo ka saamna karna pada," which translates to her having faced many difficulties in starting a new life. He went on to suggest that Dhanashree had embraced the money from her divorce as a form of empowerment, saying, “Toh phir yeh nahi kehna chahiye na ki I’m a self-made woman?" In another part of the clip, Mishra pointed to a T-shirt Chahal wore mocking Dhanashree, which read "Be your own sugar daddy," and remarked, “Phir jo Chahal aapka mazaak udane ke liye T-shirt pehen raha hai…aap paise le rahe ho." Essentially, Mishra was accusing Dhanashree of taking money from the divorce without the moral high ground she claimed.

Ritika’s decision to “like” the post on Instagram quickly caught the attention of fans and media alike, as many speculated that she was tacitly agreeing with the criticism directed at Dhanashree. While Ritika did not comment publicly on the matter, the act of liking the post seemed to speak volumes to followers, sparking debates about the nature of their relationships and the ongoing divorce drama.

For context, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, who married in 2020, have been living separately for over 18 months before finally obtaining a divorce. The details surrounding the split have not been fully disclosed, but the hefty alimony of Rs 4.75 crore that Dhanashree reportedly received has been a point of contention. Chahal’s lawyer confirmed the divorce, stating, “The court has granted the decree of divorce, and both parties are no longer husband and wife.”

Amid this, Dhanashree’s new music video Dekha Ji Dekha Maine became a talking point. Released on the day of her divorce, the video explores themes of infidelity and toxic relationships. Fans quickly drew parallels between the song’s narrative and Dhanashree’s own life, especially given her cryptic response when asked about her post-divorce emotions. With a nod and a blink, Dhanashree responded, "Gaana suno pehle," hinting at her personal strength while leaving much open to interpretation.

This ongoing saga has captivated the public’s attention, with many speculating about the motivations and emotions of the individuals involved. Whether Ritika's action was a deliberate jab or a casual like, it has certainly added fuel to the fire in this high-profile divorce drama.
