Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan's makers to unveil its first track in November: Report

Earlier the rumours had suggested that the track would be released during Diwali 2025, but it now seems the team has chosen to postpone it a little.

Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, which marks his final outing before stepping into his political career, is all set to hit theatres on January 9, 2026. According to recent reports, the makers are gearing up to begin promotions soon, with the film’s first single expected to drop in early November 2025.

As per a report by Lets Cinema on X (formerly Twitter), the first song from the film is likely to be released in the first few days of November.

Earlier the rumours had suggested that the track would be released during Diwali 2025, but it now seems the team has chosen to postpone it a little. The production company hasn't yet provided an official confirmation, though.

Thalapathy Vijay is said to be portraying a former police officer in the political action drama Jana Nayagan. Initially, it was speculated that the film was a remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, but newer reports suggest that the team only acquired the rights to recreate a key scene from the Anil Ravipudi directorial rather than adapting the entire story.

Recently the movie has generated a lot of buzz, particularly because of rumours that suggested a spectacular climax scene in which Vijay's character battles several humanoids.

According to insiders, the action-packed finale, which centres on the theme of "Humans vs. AI," will be among the most strikingly beautiful scenes ever tried in Indian cinema. But until the filmmakers issue a formal statement, these details are still unknown.

Jana Nayagan will feature an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, among other in pivotal roles. It will be helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Fans are eagerly waiting for the Pongal release amidst high anticipation surrounding the project.
