Filmmaker Raj Nidimoru is back in the spotlight, this time as a newly married man. Just days after tying the knot with actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu on December 1, the director made his first public appearance at the success party of The Family Man 3, where he was greeted with warm wishes and playful teasing from the paparazzi.

Raj, who co-created the Amazon Prime Video series with partner Krishna DK, stepped out on Saturday evening alongside DK and the show’s lead star Manoj Bajpayee. The trio was spotted outside the venue as photographers eagerly approached Raj to congratulate him on the wedding, which has been the talk of the industry since the couple released their serene Isha Yoga Centre wedding pictures.

As soon as Raj arrived, the paparazzi began cheering, calling out, “Shaadi mubarak ho!” The typically composed filmmaker couldn’t hold back his smile, blushing visibly at the overwhelming attention. He responded with a shy yet heartfelt “Thank you”, marking his first public acknowledgment of the marriage and of his relationship with Samantha.

The wedding, held at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, followed a traditional Linga Bhairava Vivaha ceremony. Samantha wore a stunning red Arpita Mehta saree — a handwoven Banarasi Katan satin silk masterpiece adorned with powder-zari buttis and a Nishi-woven border. The outfit was further elevated with delicate beige-gold zardozi work, including saadi taar, cut dana, kasab embroidery and subtle mirror detailing. Raj complemented her in an ivory kurta set paired with a textured gold jacket designed by Tarun Tahiliani.

Despite the celebrations, both Raj and Samantha wasted no time returning to work. Samantha shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot from the sets of Ma Inti Bangaram, sitting in her vanity van chatting with director Nandini Reddy and makeup artist Avni Rambhia. The post confirmed that she had resumed shooting just days after the wedding.

Raj’s marriage marks his second, following his separation from his first wife Shhyamali De in 2022. Samantha was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021.
