There have been rumors for weeks that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Ravi Teja would work together on a new thriller, but a new report says that the actress may not be involved after all. Even though there was a lot of talk on social media about them working together, the latest news points in a different direction.

As per a latest report published in 123 Telugu, Kollywood actress Priya Bhavani Shankar is now the front-runner to play the main female role in Ravi Teja's next movie, which Shiva Nirvana is likely to direct. Earlier reports had suggested that Samantha was in talks for the project, which made fans even more excited to see the two stars on screen together.

There were talks with Samantha, but no official announcement has been made. The most recent news suggests that the makers are leaning toward Priya Bhavani Shankar instead.

Ravi Teja’s ongoing works

Ravi Teja is very busy right now with the filming of Bharatha Mahasayulaki Vignyapthi, a family drama directed by Kishore Tirumala. The movie is set to come out on Sankranthi 2026, and the actor's fans are already very excited about it.

Samantha, on the other hand, has been in the news for things other than her acting career. She thanked Subham on social media in May after becoming a producer. There was a lot of talk about two pictures from the carousel. One showed the Subham team, and the other showed Samantha leaning on filmmaker Raj Nidimoru during a flight.

People have been talking about their relationship for months because of their close relationship, which was first noticed while they were filming Citadel. According to a recent Pinkvilla article, Samantha and Raj are looking at homes together and may soon make a big change in their personal lives. Raj and Samantha are said to have become close after working together on projects. Raj's wife left him in 2022.

Samantha's Next Projects

Samantha will next be in Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, a movie with a lot of stars made by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Wamiqa Gabbi are all part of the movie's diverse cast.

Ravi Teja's Most Recent Work

The last movie Ravi Teja was in was Mass Jaathara, which Bhanu Bhogavarapu directed. The movie shows the star in his usual "mass hero" role with Sreeleela. The movie got a U/A rating after going through the censor process with the help of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The movie was supposed to come out on August 27, 2025, but it had to be pushed back several times because of problems with production.
