According to a trade website, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu earned Rs 28.50 crore net in India on its first day of release. The film earned Rs 8.60 crore net in India from its pre-bookings. The film’s total now stands at Rs 37.10 crore net in India.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film. However, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu's release faced a tragedy. At a Hyderabad theatre, the joyous release day ended in stillness and shock.
During the movie's premiere, a fan collapsed among the cheers and enthusiasm at Kukatpally's bustling movie theatre, Arjun Theatre. According to Telugu Scribe, the fan later passed away at the 11.30 am showing of the movie.
After the man collapsed, theatre employees and patrons allegedly hurried to assist him, but their attempts were ineffective. After arriving, Kukatpally police officers believe the death was caused by a heart attack, though a medical study will clarify the precise cause of death.
