According to the new G.O., ticket rates for the first ten days of release will stand at Rs 222.50 in single screens and Rs 277 in multiplexes.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-awaited film Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu, continues to build massive hype as one of the most anticipated Telugu releases.

The makers have already confirmed paid premieres across India, and now, as per the latest updates, the Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved a major hike in ticket prices for the film.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, the revised order states that premiere shows scheduled between 8 PM and 10 PM will carry a uniform ticket price of Rs 600 (inclusive of GST) across all centres.

According to the new G.O., ticket rates for the first ten days of release will stand at Rs 222.50 in single screens and Rs 277 in multiplexes. The film stars Samyukta and Aadi Pinishetty in pivotal roles.

The latest official order, as shared by industry trackers, confirms that the government has permitted special premiere shows to be held on the night of December 4, giving the film a strategic advantage by allowing it to begin its box office run a day earlier than the official Friday release. For these exclusive premiere shows, the administration has fixed the price at a premium Rs 600, inclusive of GST.

Beginning December 5, and continuing for a span of ten days, the film will benefit from enhanced pricing — an additional Rs 75 (including GST) for single screens and Rs 100 (including GST) for multiplexes.

Akhanda 2 follows the massive success of the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda, which enjoyed a 100-day theatrical run and is considered a defining moment in Balakrishna’s career. The powerful combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu — a duo with a hat-trick of hits — along with Thaman S’s electrifying background score, has resulted in record-breaking pre-release business.

The film features Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady and Aadhi Pinisetty in a significant role. With government backing, sky-high expectations, and an extensive release plan, Akhanda 2 is primed to deliver the biggest opening of Balakrishna’s career.
