Anand Mahindra praises Ajith Kumar

Ajith Kumar, the actor known for his on-screen charisma and his love for motorsport, recently took his passion to the next level during a visit to Spain.

He drove the Mahindra Formula-E Gen 2 there, thrilling both car enthusiasts and fans with his innate talent and passion.

After his test drive, Anand Mahindra took to X to share his admiration, posting photos of Ajith in action and writing, “Spain, Speed, and Style. A powerful and classic combination. Great to see you on the track, Thiru Ajith Kumar. Looking forward to your next adventure...”

Ajith’s time in Spain was more than just a joyride. He used the chance to meet the Mahindra Formula E team and gain insight from top driver Nyck de Vries, who has extensive knowledge of electric race cars, as he gets ready for the GT4 European Series in Barcelona.

Despite having a very successful acting career, Ajith recently decided to put more of an emphasis on racing and take a break from movies.

His efforts are already paying off — he recently secured third place in the AM class of the Michelin Creventic Porsche GT3 Cup and finished fourth in the demanding Barcelona 24H endurance race.

Ajith is preparing for the 2025 Asian Le Mans Series, which will take place at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Autodrome, and Sepang in Malaysia. Some of the world's fastest cars compete in the series' intense endurance races.

Ajith will team up with fellow Indian Narain Karthikeyan in the LMP3 class, driving a Ligier JS P325 powered by a fierce Toyota 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. It’s an exciting chapter for Ajith — one that proves his passion for speed is as strong as ever, both on screen and on the track.
