Actor Ajith Kumar marked the end of 2025 with a spiritual visit to Oottukulangara Bhagavathy Temple of Peruvemba, Palakkad, with his family. He took a vacation from his acting and motorsports obligations.
Along with their son, Aadhvik, Ajith's wife, Shalini, joined him on the spiritual visit. Several pictures and videos of Ajith’s visit to the temple are going viral on the internet.
Ajith Kumar performed the puja peacefully at the temple but was mobbed on his way back to the car with his family.
Despite efforts to keep the visit under wraps, word got out fast, and a huge crowd of admirers flocked to the temple grounds. Videos show Ajith’s fans shouting, repeating, "AK, Ajith sir..." and “Thala.” The actor is seen calming down the excited fans.
The actor remained calm, repressed his annoyance, and walked away without a confrontation despite some fans pushing and grabbing him. Ajith and his family were protected by the police when they were at the temple.
This is Ajith's second visit to the temple in Kerala's Palakkad district in 2025. Shalini shared pictures from their October visit to the temple. The pratishta at the temple is believed to be Ajith's ancestral god because his late father, P Subramaniam, had connections to the region.
In the midst of the celebration, the darshan was assisted by the temple chairman, administrators, and local police. This temple has long been associated with Ajith's family, who view it as their family deity.
On the work front, Ajith Kumar most recently starred in Adhik Ravichandran's film Good Bad Ugly. The Tamil-language action comedy film enjoyed a strong theatrical run. The film also became the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025, crossing Rs 200 crores worldwide.
Ajith Kumar is gearing up to star in Adhik. The production of the upcoming film is scheduled to start in early 2026.
