While warm wishes have been pouring in for Samantha and Raj, a viral image has stirred an unexpected rumour. The picture shows Raj with his ex-wife Shhyamali De, holding a young girl. Some social media users have claimed that the child is Raj’s daughter with his former wife. However, the truth is very different.

Reports suggesting that Raj was seen with his daughter are incorrect. Raj Nidimoru does not have a daughter. The little girl in the viral photo is actually the daughter of his collaborator and co-director Krishna DK. The confusion likely arose because Raj and DK frequently appear together socially and professionally, blurring lines among their families for the public.

This image first resurfaced in May 2025, around the time Pinkvilla reported that Samantha and Raj had already moved in together while rumours about their relationship were gaining momentum. Even then, the same child's photograph had caused similar speculation. A source had clarified at the time, telling Pinkvilla, “Samantha and Raj are considering moving in together and are scouting for properties. They have the intent to live together and are working in that direction.”

Raj and Shhyamali De were married in 2015 and officially divorced in 2022. Raj is said to have found love in Samantha during the filming of Citadel: Honey Bunny, where they worked closely together. It was also reported that Samantha visited Raj in the US last year to meet his family.
