Rasha Thadani on her bond with siblings

Raveena Tandon's daughter, Rasha Thadani, who made her Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn's nephew, Amaan Devgn in Azaad captivated the audiences with her acting skills and dance moves, in a recent interview the actress has now opened up about her equation with Raveena Tandon's adopted daughters.

Growing up in a blended family, Rasha shared that her upbringing was filled with a mixture of love, chaos, and sibling rivalries. She grew up alongside her mother’s adopted daughters, Pooja and Chaya, and her younger brother Ranbirvardhan, resulting in a family dynamic that was as energetic as it was entertaining.

While talking with Femina, Rasha mentioned “Chaya didi and Ranbir are perhaps a little calmer, but Pooja didi and I? We fight and argue as a team against them. It’s absolute madness.” Despite the occasional conflicts, Rasha mentioned that the bond between the siblings remains incredibly strong.

Raveena Tandon, who was just 21 years old when she adopted Pooja and Chaya in 1995, later married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2004. Together, they welcomed Rasha and Ranbirvardhan into their lives. Rasha fondly recalls the sibling dynamics, often with a sense of humour.

The same could be said about Raveena’s bond with her daughters. In a 2016 interview with Hindustan Times, Raveena reflected on their close relationship, expressing, “My daughters are my best friends. When I got married, they were the ones who sat in the car and led me to the mandap. And now, I had the chance to walk them down the aisle. It’s such a special feeling.” This strong sense of family and camaraderie is something Rasha also cherishes deeply.

While Chaya pursued a career as an air hostess and Pooja ventured into event management, Rasha has recently made her debut in Bollywood.

Rasha's debut film, Azaad is a period drama produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor. The film, set against the backdrop of pre-Independence India, explored themes of love, loyalty, and bravery. It centred on the bond between a 19-year-old Govind and a horse, navigating the turbulence of dacoits and zamindars.

Azaad, which was released on January 17, unfortunately didn’t manage to make the anticipated impact at the box office, but it marked the beginning of Rasha’s acting career in the competitive world of Bollywood.

Rasha’s entry into the film industry signals the continuation of Raveena Tandon's legacy, as her daughter embarks on her own journey within the industry.
