At just 19, Rasha made her cinematic debut in Abhishek Kapoor's period drama Azaad, starring alongside Ajay Devgn and his nephew Aaman Devgan. Rasha has recently shared some insights into her life, giving everyone a glimpse into her journey so far.
Rasha quickly won over audiences with her captivating expressions and impressive dance moves, drawing comparisons to her mother’s early years in the industry. Fans are eagerly awaiting her next project, but they're also curious about Rasha's upbringing, her close bond with Raveena, and what she was like growing up.
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Rasha Thadani opened up about her close relationship with her mother, Raveena Tandon, calling her “my best friend.”
Rasha described Raveena as a "cool mom" who maintained a friendly bond with her, though, like any child, Rasha did find herself in trouble occasionally.
She shared, “Of course, she corrects me whenever she feels I'm wrong, but that’s what a mother does. She’s always been my backbone.”
When asked about Raveena’s strictness as a mother, Rasha admitted that her mom was more firm during her younger years but loosened up significantly once she turned 14, saying Raveena “chilled out a lot” after that.
Rasha further shared, “Hopefully by 14 I learned and if I don’t then of course I get yellings. But yeah, no yellings have become much… I used to get thappads when I was young. I used to bite my nails she would (tapping on her hand) ‘stop it, stop it’. All those habits. I think every mother!”
Rasha also revealed about her childhood behaviour saying, “Main toh bohot shaitan thi. Main itna masti karti thi, my god! Mummy papa hairan ho jaate the.” She went on to explain, “Agar mummy ne kaha ‘Rasha you will not do this’, ‘okay mumma’. Aur ek minute baad I would do exactly that (laughs).”
Rasha also shared that she has an open and honest relationship with her mother, including talking about boys without any hesitation.
As per Rasha, she and Raveena share a bond that goes beyond just mother and daughter – they’re essentially best friends, which is the ideal relationship for many mother-daughter duos. Their closeness is heartwarming, and we couldn’t be happier for the special connection they share.
