Ranveer Singh and Vikrant Massey to begin filming for Don 3 in 2025: Report

In a fresh update, Vikrant Massey is reportedly on board to play the antagonist, adding a new dynamic to the high-stakes thriller.

Ranveer Singh's much-anticipated Don 3, helmed by Farhan Akhtar, is finally gearing up to commence filming this year after facing multiple delays. The project, originally slated to go on floors last year, was postponed due to Farhan’s prior commitment to his war drama 120 Bahadur, which he wanted to complete before diving into the action-packed franchise.

In a fresh update, Vikrant Massey is reportedly on board to play the antagonist, adding a new dynamic to the high-stakes thriller.

As per sources cited by News18 Showsha, Ranveer and Vikrant and the entire team of Don 3 will begin filming in September this year. “Farhan is nearing the end of 120 Bahadur. Ranveer has also finished shooting for a major portion of Dhurandar. And so, they wouldn’t want to wait any longer before beginning filming for Don 3. The first schedule is scheduled for September this year. Both Ranveer and Vikrant Massey, who plays the antagonist, will be a part of it," the source said.

A source claims that Don 3 will feature intense, stylised action scenes, including exciting bike chases involving Vikrant Massey and Ranveer Singh.

It's interesting to note that Vikrant, who has historically been linked to stories that are grounded in the heartland, is about to defy expectations by starring in the movie as a new and unexpected character that will undoubtedly surprise his fans.

However, the makers have yet to officially announce the female lead of Don 3. Speculation is rife, with reports suggesting that either Sharvari Wagh or Kriti Sanon may bag the role, but no confirmation has been made so far.

The film also marks a reunion for Ranveer and Vikrant, who previously shared screen space in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. While Ranveer was last seen in the 2023 family entertainer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Vikrant garnered widespread acclaim for his performance in The Sabarmati Report.
