Rajinikanth jetted off to Hyderabad

South superstar Rajinikanth, who is gearing up for his upcoming action thriller Coolie, recently jetted off to Hyderabad with his daughter, Aishwarya. The father-daughter duo flew economy, and a video of the veteran actor from the flight is going viral on social media.

In the video, Rajinikanth sweetly obliges fans’ requests and greets them. His fans are heard screaming with excitement. The viral video starts with Rajinikanth and his daughter occupying the front row seats in economy class. However, a fan is heard screaming, “Thalaiva, face paakanum (Thalaiva, need to see your face)."

Rajinikanth immediately stood up and went to the aisle. He then waved and greeted everyone inside the aircraft with folded hands. Fans jumped with excitement and lined up on the aisle to see the superstar.

On the work front, Rajinikanth will next be seen in Coolie. He will portray the role of Deva, a former gold smuggler who sets out to regain his former glory, in the upcoming action thriller.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film features an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir. Aamir Khan will also appear in the film in a cameo role. He is speculated to portray Dahaa.

Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde will have a special number song, Monica. The song is already released and has broken several streaming records.

The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. Coolie is slated to release in the theatres on August 14 ahead of the Independence Day weekend.
