The first look of King, unveiled on Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, had nset the internet ablaze. Behind that striking poster and teaser is Rajeev Chudasama, co-founder and chief creative director at Marching Ants.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Rajeev opened up about the creative process behind the poster and teaser.
Rajeev described it as one of the most creatively fulfilling experiences of his career. Having designed visuals for hundreds of films over the years, he admitted that it’s rare for a project to rekindle his excitement, but King did just that.
He shared that the film reignited a spark he hadn’t felt in years, and admitted that he couldn’t remember the last time he ‘had butterflies in his stomach’ before a shoot.
Thank you guys!!! Thank you for the patience! And handling all my anxiety. Rajiv, Nirav - thank you so much. Nilesh you genius for cutting the most amazing edit of the Title Reveal. Keep it up guys cause our journey has begun #KINGhttps://t.co/m0rG3vxIhN— Siddharth Anand (@justSidAnand) November 4, 2025
As for Shah Rukh Khan’s much-talked-about appearance, Rajeev called it the film’s secret weapon. “The biggest trump card was Khan Saab’s look! This look is outstanding. He carries it like a glove; it suits him so much. It complements where he is, his life journey, and the number of years in the industry,” he was quoted saying.

Having worked on nearly 750 films and with SRK since Om Shanti Om, Rajeev reflected that King pushed him to tap into a level of creative passion and precision he hadn’t felt in a long time. He hinted that SRK’s look wasn’t just a style statement, it was an extension of his personal and professional evolution, something that would deeply connect with audiences when unveiled in full.
Director Siddharth Anand publicly thanked the Marching Ants team on social media. Commenting on it Rajeev shaed, “I have been working with Sid since 2010. Anjaana Anjaani was our first film together after which we worked on Bang Bang (2014) and Fighter (2024). King is our fourth film together. The kind of trust he shows in me is overwhelming and sometimes, it's also scary.”
As reported by India Today, King will unfold across two separate timelines, with Shah Rukh Khan portraying the same character at different stages of life. In the younger timeline, SRK is expected to square off against actor-dancer Raghav Juyal, who steps into the antagonist role. The narrative will then shift to an older phase, where SRK’s character reportedly goes head-to-head with Abhishek Bachchan in a dramatic face-off.
The film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla, Akshay Oberoi, and Karanvir Malhotra.
