Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband, businessman Raj Kundra, was recently summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with a pornography case. This follows raids conducted by the ED at several locations associated with Kundra as part of an investigation into money laundering linked to the production and distribution of pornographic content.
Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police in July 2021 for allegedly being involved in the creation and distribution of such content, but was granted bail. He has consistently denied the accusations, claiming he was made a "scapegoat" in the case and asserting that he was wrongfully implicated. The case continues to attract attention, and further developments are expected as investigations unfold.
He has now broken his silence on the case. After months of maintaining a low profile, Raj Kundra has addressed the ongoing investigation and the allegations against him. He said, “Till date, I have not been a part of any pornography, any production, nothing to with porn at all. When this allegation came to light, it was very hurtful. The reason the bail happened was because there were no facts or evidence to this. I know I have not done anything wrong. As far as running an App is concerned, there was a listed company in my son’s name and we used to provide technology services. We provided technology services to my brother-in-law’s company Kenrin, in which he had launched an App running from the UK, it was bold for sure, it was made for the older audience, these were A-rated films but they were not pornographic at all."

Opening up on his association with it, he said, "As far as my involvement is concerned, it is purely been a technology provider. Let a girl come forward who says that I have met Raj Kundra or worked in any of his movies, or has Raj Kundra ever produced any movie. Media says Raj Kundra is the kingpin of all 13 Apps, I am involved in the participation of software technology only and nothing wrong was being run in that App."
In February 2021, the Mumbai Police began investigating a pornography racket after several women came forward with complaints. These women alleged they were lured into creating explicit content under the guise of auditions for web series and films. They claimed they were coerced into completing the shoots, which were subsequently distributed online through subscription-based platforms like HotHit Movies, Hotshots, and websites such as Nuefliks and Hothitmovies. As the investigation progressed, Raj Kundra quickly became a central figure in the probe, drawing significant media attention.
