R Madhavan addresses rumors about chatting with young girls, says, “Hearts And Kisses…”

R Madhavan reflects on rumors surrounding Instagram DM

R Madhavan, popularly known for his character Maddy in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, has a massive fan base in the country. The actor has delivered exceptional roles, earning him fans across all age groups. However, the actor has recently faced some surprising allegations about texting young girls. The actor has debunked the allegations and elaborated on the matter.

According to Times of India, R Madhavan addressed the allegations during the launch of a parental control app in Chennai, Madhavan. He said, “I am an actor. I have all these people messaging me on Instagram and social media. I’ll tell you a simple example. A young girl messages me. ‘I saw this movie. I really loved it. I thought you’re a fabulous actor. Well done. You motivate me. And at the end of it, she puts lots of hearts and kisses and love symbols.”

The actor said that when a fan speaks to him in great detail, he feels obligated to respond. He claimed that his typical response is to express gratitude and kindness. He revealed that he responded, “Thank you so much. Very kind of you. God bless you” to the fan’s text.

R Madhavan then stated that the fan took a screenshot of his reply and shared it on Instagram. He elaborated, “Now, what do people see? Hearts and kisses and love things. And Maddy is replying to that.”

He further explained that his intention was not to respond to a particular comment, but rather to reply to a message. He slammed the criticism and said, “But because it’s a small thing you only see that symbol and say ‘Oh Maddie is talking to young girls’. If that is the fear I have… If I have to pussyfoot around every time I am putting a message on social media, can you imagine that somebody without my experience, how much trouble they’re going to get into?"

He also mentioned that he tends to be excessively cautious and is concerned about the potential interpretation of his messages.

On the work front, R Madhavan has several upcoming projects in his pipeline, including the biopic G.D.N where he'll play scientist G.D. Naidu, also known as the ‘Edison of India’. He'll also appear in Vijay's upcoming psychological thriller alongside Kangana Ranaut, Netflix's drama Aap Jaisa Koi with Fatima Sana Shaikh, and a biopic with Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday.
