South Korean musical actor Park Jun-Hwi is at the center of a growing scandal after an alleged affair with fellow actor Woo Jin-Young was exposed online. The controversy erupted when a revealing photo, showing Park shirtless and sitting on a bed next to Woo, was leaked and quickly circulated across social media platforms. The image, which reportedly originated from Park’s now-deleted Instagram account, fueled speculation about an ongoing affair and prompted intense backlash from fans.

The situation escalated further when a screenshot of a private conversation between Park and Woo surfaced. In the chat, Park can be seen speaking with his fiancée on the phone while appearing to be in the presence of Woo. This added context has led many netizens to believe that Park’s fiancée may have discovered the affair and released the content publicly in retaliation. The timing is especially damaging, as reports indicate that Park was soon to be married.

In response to the controversy, Park Jun-Hwi quickly wiped his Instagram account, removing all previously shared posts. The fallout also affected their professional lives: both Park and Woo Jin-Young have officially withdrawn from their roles in the upcoming stage production of Bare: The Musical.

Showplay, the production company behind the musical, released a formal statement confirming the cast changes. “Actors Park Jun Hwi, who played Peter, and Woo Jin Young, who played Tanya, have withdrawn from the performances due to personal reasons. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to the audience due to the actors’ withdrawal and the resulting casting changes. Those who wish to cancel or receive a refund due to the casting changes can do so without any fees through the ticketing agency.”

The scandal has sent shockwaves through the South Korean theatre community, with many expressing disappointment in the actor’s personal conduct. While neither Park nor Woo has made a direct public statement, the damage to their careers—and Park’s personal life—appears significant.
