Fans of Parineeti Chopra and politician-husband Raghav Chadha were in for a delightful surprise during their recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3. The power couple joined host Kapil Sharma for a laughter-filled evening, where unexpected revelations and light-hearted banter took center stage. The biggest takeaway? A possible baby announcement might not be too far away.
The episode kicked off with Raghav Chadha making a playful entrance—barefoot—prompting Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda to lovingly tease him by calling him “Jiju.” Amidst the jokes, Kapil Sharma shared a personal anecdote about how his own mother skipped formalities and jumped straight to asking about grandchildren the moment his wife entered the house. Turning to the couple, Kapil asked, “Aapke saath bhi aisa kuch hua?”
Without missing a beat, Raghav smiled and replied, “Denge aapko, denge good news jaldi denge” (We’ll give you good news soon). Parineeti looked visibly surprised by the candid revelation, to which Raghav cheekily added, “Denge at some point.” While the moment was met with laughter, fans couldn't help but wonder if a baby announcement is on the horizon.
The couple also opened up about their love story. Parineeti shared how her brothers were already fans of Raghav and had followed his political journey. The duo met at an event in London, and Raghav wasted no time in asking her out to breakfast the very next day.
Surprisingly, their first date was far from private—“There were 15 people with us, including our teams and event organizers,” Parineeti laughed. Yet, something clicked instantly. “I felt like marrying him right then,” she admitted.
Raghav revealed it was love at first sight for him. After their breakfast date, Parineeti even Googled his age, marital status, and profession. “The most important thing I searched was his height,” she confessed, “I needed someone taller than me!”
After just a few months of dating, the couple got engaged and were soon married. Parineeti also candidly shared that she doesn’t know how to cook and had to rely on her mother-in-law’s help for her first traditional 'rasoi' after marriage.
Fans can catch new episodes of The Great Indian Kapil Show every Saturday at 8 PM on Netflix—clearly a platform not just for comedy, but also for sweet surprises like these.
