Following his abrupt exit from the eagerly awaited Hera Pheri 3, veteran actor Paresh Rawal recently generated discussion both online and offline.

Fans were shocked by the announcement, particularly since it came after rumours circulated that the movie's producer and star, Akshay Kumar, was thinking of suing Rawal for allegedly breaching his trust.

Paresh was spotted in Mumbai on Wednesday amid the continuing commotion, seemingly unfazed by the controversy. His outfit, a grey t-shirt with the words "Don't Quit" boldly printed on it, was what attracted the most attention. Many social media users couldn't help but wonder if the message was a cryptic response to the ongoing fallout, despite its subtlety.

Actor Geeta Basra, who ran into Paresh during the day, shared a candid photo with him on her Instagram Stories. In the image, the two are smiling warmly, and Paresh is seen donning the now-talked-about t-shirt. Geeta captioned the story, “So good meeting you Paresh Rawal ji… (after Zilla Ghaziabad).”

Speculation around Paresh’s exit from Hera Pheri 3 initially centred on creative differences. However, the actor was quick to dismiss those claims. Shortly after, reports emerged that Akshay Kumar was mulling over legal proceedings against him. In response, Paresh took to Twitter on May 25 to clarify his position. “My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest,” he posted.

As of now, it remains uncertain whether the core cast—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and director Priyadarshan—will proceed with Hera Pheri 3 in Rawal’s absence.

Interestingly, despite the ongoing legal tussle, Paresh and Akshay are slated to appear together in other upcoming films. The duo will be seen in Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla and, reportedly, even in Hera Pheri 3. They are also part of Welcome to the Jungle, which is currently in the pipeline.

Whether or not Paresh returns to the Hera Pheri franchise, it’s evident that he remains very much a part of Bollywood’s active landscape.
