There were reports of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan being arrested in Dubai in connection with a defamation case.

According to a report on Geo TV, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was allegedly named in a defamation complaint by his former manager Ahmed. But the 'Tere mast mast do nain' singer has denied all the allegations.

As per the Geo TV report, Rahat had fired his manager a few months ago owing to a dispute, which led to the two of them filing cases against each other.

The report further stated that Rahat was allegedly detained at the immigration centre and taken into police custody for further questioning.

But now the singer himself has released a video on his Instagram account to clarify all the allegations and said that he was not taken in to police custody.

In the video Rahat said: "News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards Team RFAK."

In the video, he said, “I have come to Dubai to record a few of my songs. Everything is fine, don’t pay heed to rumours. There is no truth in what the ‘enemies’ have claimed. I will soon return home soon and hopefully I will deliver superhit songs soon. Request my fans worldwide to not pay attention to the rumours. You are my power. My audience, my fans are my power.”
