Veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan was found dead at her residence in Karachi, Pakistan, marking a heartbreaking end to the life of a celebrated television icon.
The 76-year-old actress, who had long been admired for her contributions to Pakistani drama and cinema, was discovered in her apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7 on Wednesday, June 18.
Ayesha's body was discovered almost a week after her death, according to reports in the local media. After noticing a bad odour coming from her flat, worried neighbours called the police. When police arrived, they found the body in a decomposition state, suggesting that she had passed away a few days prior.
In order to ascertain the cause and time of death, her remains were later taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination. Her body was given to the Edhi Foundation mortuary in Sohrab Goth after the medico-legal procedure.
The circumstances surrounding her death are currently being investigated. Police are trying to get in touch with any known relatives and talking to neighbours. There is currently no proof of foul play.
According to reports, Ayesha Khan had been living alone for a number of years and was dealing with health problems. She had gradually become more withdrawn from society and lived a solitary life.

With roles in films like Muskaan, Fatima, and the Bollywood production Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, she demonstrated her talent in the film industry as well.
