Hollywood actor Nicole Kidman spoke about life after her divorce with countrymen singer Keith Urban. The actress emphasised that she is currently focusing on positivity and her family as she moves forward in her life following the end of her long marriage.

In a recent interview, the Oscar-winning actor spoke about the difficult period surrounding their separation and said she is choosing to look ahead rather than dwell on the past.

Speaking with Variety, the actor said, "Because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."

Nicole and Keith were married for nearly two decades before their relationship came to an end. The couple first met in 2005 and tied the knot the following year in 2006. Over the years, they became one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples and frequently appeared together at major film and music events.

Their divorce got finalised in January this year after Nicole Kidman filed for separation in September 2025. She had cited irreconcilable differences. Despite the divorce, the Scarpetta actor stressed that maintaining a strong family bond remains her top priority.

The former couple shares two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15 — and Kidman emphasised that their well-being continues to guide her decisions. She said she wants to keep the family united emotionally, even though the marriage has ended.

Nicole also admitted that the past year had been emotionally challenging. During that period, she said she kept a relatively low public profile and focused on dealing with personal matters away from the spotlight.
