ADOR has erased all references to NewJeans—currently performing under the name NJZ—from its official website. The sudden change has sparked intense speculation about the group’s future, with some fans celebrating what they see as a sign of independence, and others fearing it signals disbandment.
Until recently, ADOR’s official domain, ador.world, primarily promoted auditions for its upcoming boy group. It included a small but notable link directing visitors to NJZ’s separate site. That link—and any mention of the group—has now vanished. The page has also undergone a rebrand, shifting to adoraudition.world and prominently displaying HYBE’s corporate branding.
The website changes arrive amid a turbulent year for both ADOR and NewJeans. In August 2024, ADOR’s founding CEO and NewJeans’ creative lead, Min Hee-jin, was removed from her position by HYBE’s board. The move came after allegations that Min had attempted to take control of the label—claims she has consistently denied. Her ousting fractured the creative and personal ties between NewJeans and their label, leading to a public standoff.
In September 2024, NewJeans shocked fans with a surprise livestream in which the members openly demanded Min’s reinstatement. Since then, legal tensions have escalated, culminating in ADOR’s preliminary injunction against the group earlier this year, which temporarily halted activities under the NJZ name.

The website update has divided fans online. Some see it as liberation. “THEY ARE NO LONGER ARTISTS UNDER ADOR OR HYBE,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Others echoed the sentiment, celebrating with comments like, “Our girls are FREEE” and “This better mean my sisters are getting their freedom.”
But a darker view is also gaining traction. “Disbandment announcement soon,” one worried fan posted. Another warned, “Everyone celebrating, thinking they are free, but this is worse. This means ADOR has given up bringing them back and will likely go for penalties. I’m actually heartbroken.”
Neither ADOR nor NewJeans have issued an official statement regarding the removal. With legal disputes ongoing and the NJZ brand under restriction, the group’s long-term prospects remain unclear. Whether this moment represents a bold new chapter for the members—or the quiet end of NewJeans—remains one of K-pop’s most closely watched stories.
