Singer-actor Navraj Hans, son of legendary singer Hans Raj Hans, and , daughter of Daler Mehndi, have joyously welcomed their first child after 12 years of marriage.
On Thursday, August 28, the couple marked a significant milestone in their lives by sharing the good news in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Sharing a close photo with their new born daughter moments after her birth, Navraj wrote in the caption, "Main Papa Ban gyaaa. Welcome to the family my Darling daughter. Thank you @ajitmehndi for this amazing gift."
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Navraj described the experience as "surreal," saying, "It is an unbelievable feeling, one that I can't express in just words. After much waiting, she has finally arrived. I feel whole now, even though Samaj hi nahi aa raha kya mehsoos kar raha hu."
Navraj stated in the interview that he was ecstatic and satisfied the moment he held his newborn daughter for the first time, referring to her as the "Sheer" of their family and stressing that having a girl or a boy made no difference.
Additionally, he also mentioned that his wife, Ajit Kaur Mehndi, was healthy and had a normal delivery. The family is excitedly awaiting the baby's arrival at home after the couple was released on August 30. They are currently staying with Ajit's family, but Navraj's parents should be joining them shortly.
Reflecting on the journey from the pregnancy announcement to finally holding their child, Navraj further revealed, “Hum dono ne sath mei iss phase ko jeeya hai (We have lived this phase together). I was travelling for a show, when Ajit shared the big news with me. This was such a big news for both of us and she couldn’t keep calm for me to return and told me over a call. But the excitement in her voice was palpable.”
Navraj Hans has lent his voice to several popular tracks such as Saiyaan, Mile Sur, Gud Naal Ishq Mitha, and Chhote Chhote Peg, among many others.
