Sonakshi Sinha wears her mother Poonam Sinha's white saree for wedding with beau Zaheer Iqbal

Sonakshi Sinha made one gorgeous bride for her wedding with longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. The actress stunned the celebrations in a stunning white chikankari saree that actually belonged to her mother, Poonam Sinha. She lived the dream of every little girl who wants to wear her mother’s clothes for their wedding. Sonakshi also chose to wear incredible jewels pieces from Poonam Sinha’s collection.

The white ensemble shared a very personal and sentimental value to Sonakshi as her mother wore the same ivory saree for her marriage to Shatrughan Sinha around 44 years ago. For her jewellery, Sonakshi wore a choker kundan necklace, gold bangles, her engagement ring, and kundan earrings. The married couple opted for white as the theme for their wedding so Zaheer also wore an all white traditional outfit with an embroidered kurta and pants set.

After their intimate wedding ceremony, Sonakshi changed into a bright red silk saree for the grand reception the married couple threw for their family, friends and Bollywood celebrities. The brocade silk drape of the saree had stunning gold embroidery and broad gold patti borders. The bride paired it with a red blouse.

Sonakshi Sinha, known for her fashionable choices, paired the traditional wedding look with emerald and gold jewellery, including a choker necklace and earrings. She styled her hair with a centre parting and neatly tied into a bun which was surrounded by a gorgeous gajra.

The reception of the married couple was an exciting star studded event with the likes of Kajol, Salman Khan, Rekha, Anil Kapoor Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Huma Qureshi, Saira Banu, and more, in attendance. The performer at the event, DJ Ganesh, noted that the reception was attended by nearly 1000 guests.
