Mohanlal starts filming for Drishyam 3, shares pictures on social media

Malayalam actor Mohanlal  has officially started shooting for the much awaited Drishyam 3 in Kochi. This is one of the most anticipated movies in Indian cinema. Mohanlal recently also got the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Jeethu Joseph directed the film, and on Monday, a puja ceremony was held at a law school near Kochi to celebrate the start of the film. Not long after that, the President of India was scheduled to deliver Mohanlal the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in New Delhi. This would be a significant deal for him in his extraordinary 40-year career.

Jeethu Joseph told the media that Drishyam 3 will give additional information regarding Georgekutty's life. Most people think of Georgekutty when they think about Mohanlal.

Four and a half years later, the story is about Georgekutty's life. Joseph said, "That's the main point of the movie."

Antony Perumbavoor, the producer of the Drishyam series and someone who has worked with Mohanlal for a long time, indicated that it wasn't an easy decision to do another movie.

The great response to the first two sections made us think that Georgekutty's story had more to tell. "We didn't finish this third chapter until we had long talks with Jeethu," he stated.

The Drishyam movies are cult classics in Indian film because they include unique stories, unexpected turns, and Mohanlal's superb acting. The first portion was released in 2013 and altered the way Malayalam movies are made. There were also versions developed in various languages. It broke box office records, and its 2021 sequel was also a great smash on over-the-top (OTT) platforms.

Now that Drishyam 3 has officially started, fans in India and throughout the world have great aspirations. People in the business think that the movie, which will come out in March 2026, could be one of the most talked-about movies of the year.
