According to trade website Sacnilk, the film grossed over Rs 16 crore in its opening weekend.
The film collected Rs 6.67 crore on its third day, as reported by the site. The movie had released on July 4. The film's debut weekend grossed Rs 16.17 crore, indicating a solid start.
Metro In Dino earned Rs 3.5 crore on its first day but saw a jump on Rs 6 crore on its second day, showing a 71.43% increase in revenue.
Metro In Dino had an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.91% on Sunday. Morning 15.98% of the audience, followed by afternoon shows at 46.62% and evening shows at 57.14%.

The musical love drama has outperformed its spiritual predecessor, Life... in a Metro, at the box office. The movie was released on May 11, 2007.
According to Sacnilk, Life... In A Metro had done a business of 0.80 crore on the opening day, and Rs 1.23 crore on day 1 and a slight increase with Rs 1.45 crore on day three. It earned Rs 3.48 crore in opening weekend.
The film has music scored by Pritam. In an interview, director Anurag admitted that the idea for this sequel came from the late actor Irrfan Khan.
Konkona Sen Sharma is the only original cast member to return for the new edition. The sequel delves into the lives of four new couples as they navigate the ups and downs of love and relationships across different cities.
