Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino opens at the Box office with decent numbers and positive reviews from critics and the audience alike. However, the film has witnessed a surge in numbers on its second day.
According to trade website Sacknilk, Metro... In Dino collected around Rs 6.00 crore net in India on its second day with an overall 32.20% Hindi Occupancy. The film’s total now stands at Rs 9.5 crore net in India.
The film hit the theatres on July 4 and earned Rs 3.50 crore net in India. However, the romantic drama saw a whopping surge in box office numbers on day 2. The film is expected to give strong competition to the 2007 film Life in a Metro, which was a sleeper hit and had opened in the theatres with just Rs 80 lakh. However, the film managed to conclude with a lifetime domestic collection of over Rs 24 crore.
The recently released film features an ensemble cast including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal, a romantic drama.
