Madhur Bhandarkar released official poster of The Wives

National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is gearing up for his highly anticipated, The Wives. The director has recently kicked off the production of his next film, The Wives, with a star-studded cast in Mumbai.

He took to his Instagram to share the update with the fans and released the official first-look poster of The Wives is swirling around the internet, creating a buzz among the fans.

Alongside the photos, he penned in the caption, "Today marks the start of my 16th film, #TheWives, an original story set in the captivating world of glamour that we I’ve explored over the last four years. Finally bringing this concept-driven project to life is a dream come true."

The filmmaker has also reflected on his upcoming film and revealed that it will be a "bold and unapologetic look at the secrets, struggles, and resilience of women who are often seen but seldom heard."

He added, "With 'The Wives', I want to peel back yet another glamorous layer of society and show what really lies beneath.”

Bhandarkar Production House, Bhandarkar Entertainment, has collaborated with Pranav Jain's P J Motion Pictures to produce the upcoming film. This is the second time the filmmaker has collaborated with producer Pranav Jain after they previously worked on 2022's film India Lockdown.

The producer reflected on collaborating with Bhandarkar for the second time and expressed his enthusiasm. He said, “Collaborating with Madhur sir again is truly exciting. He has a rare gift for telling stories that make people sit up and think.”

Pranav also teased what to expect from the upcoming film and claimed, “The Wives will be an eye-opener and I’m proud to be backing a project that’s so honest and relevant.”

The Wives stars Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa and Freddy Daruvala in the key roles. The upcoming film is expected to explore the complicated but secret lives of Bollywood star wives.
