Fans have been eagerly waiting for the Special Ops Season 2 release. The highly anticipated series was slated for July 11, but the makers have recently pushed the release by a week, leaving the fans disappointed.
The official social media handle of JioHotstar announced the news with a video of Kay Kay Menon sharing the update. The video was accompanied by the caption, “We understand you're on the edge of your seat, but thoda aur intezar (but wait a little more) and it’s going to be worth all the wait!”
In the video, Menon addressed the fans and shared that sometimes things aren’t in the hands of the creators. He revealed, “Special Ops ke sabhi chaahne waalon ke liye ek suchana, Special Ops Season 2 ab 11 July ke badle.. 18 July ko release karenge, yaani ek hafte baad (A notice for all the fans of Special Ops, Special Ops Season 2 will now release on July 18 instead of July 11, i.e. a week later).”
He added, “Ab kya karein kuch cheezein humare niyantran me nahi hai isliye hume ye nirnaye lena pada. Lekin saare episodes ek saath release karenge (Some things are not in our control, that's why we had to take this decision. But all the episodes will be released together).”
Menon further teased that the excitement about the season will remain the same but they have just extended the release. He added, “Isliye maza wahi rahega, sirf intezar thoda sa aur, ek hafta. Yaad rakhiye 18 July Special Ops season 2 on JioHotstar (So the fun will be the same, just wait a little more, one week. Remember 18 July Special Ops Season 2 on JioHotstar).”
Kay Kay Menon will reprise his role of Himmat Singh, alongside returning cast members Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, and Meher Vij. Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prakash Raj are the new addition to the ensemble cast list.
The new season shifts its focus to cyber-terrorism, with Himmat Singh and his team battling a digital threat to India's data security.
