The original series, which became a household name, is returning with its beloved lead pair—Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay—reprising their roles as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. The show is scheduled to go on air from July 3, the same date it originally premiered in the year 2000.

Produced by Ektaa Kapoor, the reboot will mark the 25th anniversary of the original series, which had a historic run from 2000 to 2008. To commemorate this milestone, Kapoor has not only brought back the OG leads but is also bringing in several original cast members including Mouni Roy, Karishma Tanna, Shakti Anand, and Sandeep Baswana.

While Smriti has already signed on the dotted line and begun shooting with Z+ security in place, reports about Amar’s shooting schedule remain unconfirmed, though his involvement is confirmed.
Season 2 is expected to feature 150 episodes, with a storyline designed to appeal to both longtime fans and new viewers. The reboot promises emotional drama, family politics, and powerful performances, staying true to the show's legacy.
