Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is all set to launch on July 29, and the excitement of the fans and audience is noticeable. Smriti Irani is making a comeback to television after 25 years, and starring opposite her will be Amar Upadhyay in the role of Mihir Virani.

The two had great chemistry, and the audience loved them as a pair in the original version. The high point of the drama was the time when Mihir died.

Amar Upadhyay shared with the media how the audience reacted when the character was shown no more. Amar, as reported by Pinkvilla, recalled how the production house showed a buildup of the drama as Mihir touched the family members' feet right before his death. Amar mentioned how he was sad; however, he appreciated the high intensity of drama that Ektaa Kapoor had planned.

Amar never imagined that his exit would be a nationwide discussion. As reported by the outlet, the death scene was shown on February 8, 2001. He watched the episode with his mother, and after it ended, he got a call from the production house explaining that fans were calling their office number and abusing them as they put an end to the character.

The publication also reported that Ektaa Kapoor called him that night to visit her in the office, where he reached with his wife.

The outlet quoted Amar as saying, "It went on, and Ektaa was happy. We all were happy ki naya kuch hungama hone wala hai."

This season will once again bring some top-notch twists which will recreate the magic of Mihir and Tulsi on the screens.

There are many faces of the original cast who will return to reprise their roles along with new cast members who will represent the future generation of the Virani household.
