Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder at his residence last month, a shocking incident that grabbed nationwide attention. Now, his brother-in-law, Kunal Kemmu, has shared how he first learned about the attack and how he broke the news to Saif's sister and his wife, Soha Ali Khan.
Kunal, who is set to appear on Smita Prakash’s podcast, spoke about the moment he received the news. In a recently released promo clip, he was asked where he was when he first heard about the attack. Kunal recalled that his immediate reaction was concern, with the first thought that crossed his mind being, Is Saif okay?
Kunal Kemmu further revealed that he received news of the attack at 6 in the morning and was the one who had to inform his wife, Soha Ali Khan, who is also Saif Ali Khan’s sister. At the time, the couple was occupied with getting their daughter ready for school.
He admitted that in that moment, he had no additional details beyond the fact that an attack had occurred, which left him deeply unsettled. He even found himself questioning whether it was safe to send his daughter to school that day.
Addressing concerns about safety, Kunal clarified that it’s not about the city being entirely unsafe, but rather that such incidents, though rare, do happen. He stressed the need for vigilance, saying, We just have to be careful.

However, he also acknowledged that no place can be deemed completely secure. You can’t expect to lie down on the streets wearing jewelry and assume nothing will happen, he remarked, emphasizing the importance of taking necessary precautions for personal safety.
