    BTS’s Jungkook continues to break records making him the only K-pop soloist with five songs hitting this milestone. Jungkook’s solo hits dominate charts worldwide, cementing his global superstar status.

    Jungkook creates new milestone

    K-pop band BTS member Jungkook continues to dominate the streaming charts with his popular track Dreamers.

    As of now, The Golden Maknae is the only K-pop star to have more than 500 million plays on a single in Spotify's history. The track has now become his fifth single to break into the major leagues

    Although Jungkook hasn't released any new music in a while, his songs continue to place him in the top charts. Jungkook was released from his mandatory military service in June of this year.

    Dreamers reached the milestone after surpassing 500 million plays, according to Spotify's charting on October 19. The official X of World Music Awards announced the milestone and penned, β€œ#Jungkook’s β€œDreamers [Music from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Soundtrack]” has surpassed 500 MILLION streams on Spotify!”

    The tweet continued, β€œIt’s his 5th song to reach this milestone, the MOST for any K-pop soloist!”

    Jungkook had previously performed his track at the official FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

    Dreamers joined his earlier hits, 3D (1.04 billion), Left and Right (1.12 billion), Standing Next To You (1.31 billion), and Seven (2.6 billion). With just his solo songs, Jungkook has now amassed over 9.7 billion Spotify plays.

    It's interesting to note that Seven (featuring Latto) has become the first Korean artist's song to surpass 2.5 billion streams, solidifying his success as a solo artist worldwide.

    Dreamers, which was released in November 2022, quickly rose to the top of the global charts. It continues to dominate, as evidenced by its No. 2 ranking on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart and its dominance of the iTunes Top Songs charts in 102 countries and regions.

    As of October 21, FIFA's official YouTube channel's Dreamers music video had received over 424 million views overall. It is the channel's most-watched video ever.
