Rapper San E received relief in legal trouble

South Korean rapper San E, whose real name is Jung San, was recently entangled in legal trouble and faced trespassing and property damage charges. The rapper took to his social media and announced that the court has now dropped all the charges against him.

The rapper claimed that the authorities cited insufficient evidence and issued a “no indictment” ruling, effectively dropping the case.

Chinese singer RETA accused her agency CEO, San E and an associate of entering her house without her consent and filed a legal complaint against them in March. She also claimed that they disposed of her belongings while she was staying in China due to visa issues.

According to RETA's lawsuit, San E purportedly authorised staff to break into her residence, without her consent or knowledge of the door passcode, and dispose of her personal property, including furniture.

The authorities later wrapped up their investigation, citing that the available evidence was insufficient to support the charges. The authorities officially cleared San E of the charges.

However, this was not the only time San E landed in legal trouble. He has previously been accused of assaulting a passerby near a park entrance in Seoul’s Mapo District. He also issued an official apology at the time.

For the unversed, San E made his debut in 2010 and has delivered a series of hit songs. He has also appeared on popular music programs like Mnet’s Show Me the Money, Unpretty Rapstar, and High School Rapper 2.
