In a shocking development that has rocked the South Korean entertainment industry, the family of late actress Kim Sae Ron is set to hold a press conference to release what they claim is “evidence” of actor Kim Soo Hyun allegedly dating Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor.

According to Pinkvilla, the family of Kim Sae Ron claims the two actors were in a relationship that began in 2015, when Kim Sae Ron was 15 and Kim Soo Hyun was 27. The allegations were first revealed via the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, which reported that the relationship lasted for six years.

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency GOLDMEDALIST has firmly denied the allegations, calling them “false” and “retaliatory.” In response to the agency’s denial, the bereaved family has planned a press conference to be held on March 27 at 1:30 PM KST (10 AM IST)in Seocho-gu, Seoul. During the event, they intend to present evidence, including private photos and videos, to support their claims.

Attorney Bu Ji Seok of Buyu Law Firm, representing Kim Sae Ron’s family, confirmed their intent to go public. He stated, “After the press conference, the timing of Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun’s relationship will be confirmed.” He also noted that they plan to take legal action against the spread of what they call misinformation about the late actress and her family.

Earlier, Kim Sae Ron’s family had shared personal images allegedly taken during the time the two were supposedly dating. After GOLDMEDALIST challenged the authenticity of the photos, the family announced plans to undergo digital forensic testing to verify the images. A K-media outlet Hankyung reported on March 18 that the family was determined to “see through the issue till the end.”

Adding more complexity to the issue, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency filed a lawsuit against Kim Sae Ron’s family and Garosero Research Institute operator Kim Se Eui, accusing them of blackmail and violating the Special Act on the Punishment of S*xual Crimes, particularly for allegedly posting a compromising photo of the actor.

As the press conference nears, public curiosity and tension continue to grow. The entertainment industry and fans alike await clarity on the timeline and truth of the alleged relationship. If the family’s claims are proven, this could mark a significant scandal in the careers of those involved.
