This Independence Day weekend witnessed a three-way Bollywood clash at the box office with Khel Khel Mein, Vedaa and Stree 2 releasing on the same day. According to Sacnilk.com, Khel Khel Mein struggled to find its footing, collecting less than Rs 2 crore nett in India on Friday, managing a Rs 5.05 crore nett opening on Thursday. This indicates a significant drop in audience interest.
Despite a star-studded cast including Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal, the film managed to collect only an estimated Rs 1.9 crore nett on the second day, bringing its total domestic box office collection to approximately Rs 6.95 crore.
Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama, Khel Khel Mein, experienced a significant drop in earnings on its second day. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film has faced stiff competition from Stree 2 and has struggled to maintain audience interest.

According to Sacnilk, Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein witnessed a modest overall Hindi occupancy of 16.22% on its second day, Friday, August 16. The film's performance varied significantly across different show timings. Night shows proved to be the most popular, with an occupancy rate of 28.85%. Afternoon and evening shows followed with 13.48% and 15.56% occupancy respectively. Morning shows, on the other hand, struggled to attract audiences, registering a low occupancy of 6.99%.
Khel Khel Mein revolves around the story of Rishabh, a successful plastic surgeon played by the silver-haired Akshay Kumar. His seemingly perfect marriage to Vartika, portrayed by Vaani Kapoor, is on the brink of collapse due to a three-month ultimatum issued by his wife. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Rishabh, behind his professional facade, is a typical husband harbouring secrets from Vartika. This situation is causing significant strain on their relationship.
