Khatron Ke Khiladi's producer Banijay Asia backs out leaving show's future unsure: Report

The team was reportedly preparing to fly to an international location for the shoot next month.

The last season of the reality stunt show Khatron Ke Khiladi wrapped up a few months ago. However, as per recent reports, the producer has backed out last minute, leaving the show's future hanging in uncertainty.

According to sources cited by India Today, the production house, Banijay Asia revealed that the team had recently decided not to move ahead with the upcoming season. They further stated that while a few celebrities had already been finalized, discussions with others were still ongoing at various stages. Khatron Ke Khiladi is hosted by Rohit Shetty.

"After the producers put out their decision to the channel (Colors), the locked celebrities' dates were also released," the source added.

As per the sources, actors including Munawar Faruqui, Khushboo Patani (Disha Patani’s sister), Orry, Isha Malviya, and boxer Neeraj Goyat had already signed their contracts for the latest season.

The team was reportedly preparing to fly to an international location for the shoot next month. However, with the sudden change in plans, it’s said that Rohit Shetty is quite disappointed, as he was also looking forward to returning with the new season.

According to some speculations, Banijay Asia is also the producer of Salman Khan hosted show, Bigg Boss. There are rumours that the reality show will also face a hit but till now there is no confirmation on either shows being cancelled.

The last season of Khatron Ke Khiladi was won by Karan Veer Mehra. He bagged the trophy, a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh along with a car. The first runner-up was Krishna Shroff followed by second runner-up Gashmeer Mahajani.
