Keerthy Suresh hails Kalyani Priyadarshan’s performance in Lokah: “You’ve owned Chandra with hard work and dedication”

Dulquer Salmaan’s ambitious superhero venture Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is proving to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year. The film, directed by Dominic Arun, has been on a dream run at the box office and continues to draw strong word-of-mouth support. After praise poured in from Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, actress Keerthy Suresh has now added her voice to the chorus of appreciation.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Keerthy shared her admiration for the team behind Lokah and posted a screenshot of a video call with lead actress Kalyani Priyadarshan. Alongside it, she wrote, “Finally!! Lokah! What a brilliant idea, brought powerfully to screen.”

She applauded director Dominic Arun for his vision and highlighted Nimish Ravi’s “top-notch” cinematography that elevated the superhero world of Lokah. But her biggest shoutout was reserved for Kalyani, who plays Chandra. “Ammu, you’ve owned Chandra with all your hard work, dedication, and effort, especially in your look and those action scenes!” Keerthy noted with pride.

Keerthy didn’t stop there. She called Durga Vinod, who plays young Chandra, a “talent to watch” and praised Sayonara Philip, Naslen, and Chandu Salimkumar. According to her, the latter two “lit up the screen with comedy” and added balance to the otherwise intense superhero narrative.

Her appreciation also extended to Dulquer Salmaan and his banner Wayfarer Films. “Big congrats to @dqswayfarerfilms for setting a new benchmark with amazing production quality,” she wrote, tagging Dulquer directly. For Keerthy, Lokah isn’t just a film—it represents a bold step for Malayalam cinema into new creative territory.

Meanwhile, Kalyani Priyadarshan made headlines of her own by confirming Mammootty’s role as Moothon, the mysterious elder figure in Lokah. Sharing a birthday tribute for the legendary actor, she revealed how magical his surprise presence on set had been. “I remember the day he walked onto our set… we all instantly dropped everything. His aura was light, funny, and effortless. That’s just the kind of person he is—someone who inspires without even trying,” she wrote.

Adding further, she said, “I just hope with this film, we’ve made him proud. Happy birthday to our Moothon.”
